1st Shift Fulfillment Lead (INTERNAL)

Summary

Lead Fulfillment Associates focus on customer experience, quality, safety, and productivity of their fellow Fulfillment Associates. Lead Fulfillment Associates are responsible for performing production duties (pick, pack, replenish, ship) and assisting Area Managers with the daily management of the department.

Position responsibilities may include, but not limited to

    • Assist with daily operations through support of production team, ensuring delays and issues are reduced or eliminated
    • Drive productivity improvements (LEAN Initiatives)
    • Communicate goals and objectives to the production team, ensuring alignment of the team to company goals
    • Assist with standard work adherence throughout the production team through daily audits
    • Coordinate with Inventory/Warehouse team to ensure all materials needs are met, eliminating line slow down related to materials
    • Partner with our Food Safety team to ensure we are meeting FDA, USDA and General Manufacturing Practice requirements
    • Assist with production team quality improvement efforts
    • Support all Safety Team efforts to continuously improve practices and facilities
    • Make decisions on scheduling needs for the department
    • Make recommendations on performance-based merit increases

Required skills and experience

    • High School diploma or equivalent required
    • 2+ years fulfillment or production experience
    • Must be willing and able to work overtime as required
    • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

    • Bilingual (English / Spanish) a plus
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrated flexibility and ability to adapt and implement change in a timely and effective manner

Physical requirements

    • Regularly required to use hands to handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms
    • Frequently is required to stand, talk, and listen
    • Occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel or crouch
    • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
    • Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
