HR Generalist (INTERNAL)

Summary

The HR Generalist supports the full scope of human resources functions to ensure a positive, productive, and compliant workplace. This role serves as a key partner to employees and managers serving as the first point of contact for HR Related questions.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to

    • Conduct in person and virtual orientations and process new hires in applicable systems (HRIS, I-9/E-Verify)
    • Maintain employee files and records in electronic format
    • Serve as the first point of contact for employee/manager questions or concerns about process, policy, procedure, compensation, benefits, and performance or conduct
    • Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly and partnering with HRBP and business leaders on conflict resolution and employee engagement activities
    • Handle tier 1 employee relations issues and work towards amicable solutions with the business leader and HR Business Partner
    • Evaluate and escalate employee concerns requiring additional intervention to the HRBP or Employee Relations team
    • Support employee questions around leave and escalate to the HR Business Partner when necessary
    • Drive continuous improvement in HR programs, proactively making recommendations for improvements in a manner consistent with the company’s mission values
    • Ensure employee and site compliance with company policies
    • Encourage people and culture practices that promote retention of key talent
    • Support employee offboarding for low-risk terminations (termination letter, termination processing-HRIS, badge access removal, personal item removal)
    • Respond to unemployment claims and fact finding interviews

Required Skills and Experience

    • Associate’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or minimum of 5+ years of Human Resources related experience
    • Knowledge of general HR practices
    • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and work streams to deliver quality results
    • Experience with HR systems to include timekeeping, payroll, benefits, etc.
    • Strong customer service skills
    • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
    • Strong presentation and communication skills
    • Experience utilizing productivity tools such as Microsoft Office, PowerPoint and SharePoint

Preferred Skills and Experience

     

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
    • SHRM Certification
    • Experience in Manufacturing and/or Healthcare industry

Physical Requirements

    • Repetitive motions that include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
    • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting, remaining in a stationary position for prolonged periods
    • Visual perception to perform job including peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

Areas of responsibility are decant, dish room, CIP systems, WIP storage and spice batching.
