Intake Administrator (INTERNAL)

Ankeny, IA | Corporate | Customer Care - Intake | Full-Time

Summary

The Intake Administrator will manage various incoming communication channels to collect and load into a data entry workflow queue. This role will be responsible for managing various lines of communication and require excellent organizational and time management skills.  

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to

  • Electronically print/import emails from shared Microsoft Outlook department Inboxes in a timely manner
  • Electronically print/scan/import faxes in a timely manner
  • Assist with printing of required Documentation or Messages from Provider Services Portals
  • Properly assign naming convention and correct workflow routing to various documents Import electronic documents into Document Locator
  • Communicate status of workflow and/or possible outbound communication follow up where needed
  • Manage personal health information (PHI) to meet and exceed the standards of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA) guidelines

Required Skills and Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Above average computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to multi-task;  ability to move from one item to another with ease
  • Strong organizational, time management, and attention to detail skills
  • Ability to problem solve issues in a timely manner
  • Ability to change frequently based on new policies, processes and procedures
  • Ability to work as a team player and self-motivate

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience with medical billing/terminology
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products; Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, Teams

Physical Requirements

  • Repetitive motions that include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting, remaining in a stationary position for prolonged periods
  • Visual perception to perform job including peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
