Fulfillment Associate II- ICE (INTERNAL)

Summary

The Fulfillment Associate II will serve as a process monitor in the Order Fulfillment Center. This role will help set up for the shift, monitor usage of ice bags, and fulfill required ice amounts in order boxes to keep the line moving efficiently while ensuring it does not come to a standstill. This role also will include picking, scanning, and packing a portion of each customer’s order as it passes in front of them in a safe and efficient manner as required during the shift. 

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to

    • Move inventory from freezer to production line
    • Set up and stage ice bags on production line
    • Include the correct number of ice packs for each order box as specified  
    • Move ice bags back to freezer at the end of daily production if necessary
    • Consistently monitor ice bags usage to ensure production line does not run short on product
    • Follow GMP’s and food safety rules including maneuvering through assembly lines safely, not causing cross-contamination or damage to ice bags or other product
    • May assist with picking, scanning, and packing a portion of each customer’s meal order
    • Stage empty ice pallets for reloading in warehouse area 

Required Skills and Experience

    • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
    • Close attention to detail and numbers
    • Good organization & communication skills
    • Ability to multi-task, and work quickly but safely (e.g., don’t run into people, transfer ice bags without incident, etc.)
    • Demonstrated commitment to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and other food safety rules

Preferred Skills and Experience

    • Previous food production, assembly line, or order fulfillment center experience 

Physical requirements

    • Regularly required to use hands to feel, grab, or operate objects, tools, and controls while reaching with hands and arms
    • Regularly required to stand, communicate, and listen
    • Occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel or crouch
    • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
    • Visual perception to perform job including peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
    • Able to perform repetitive movements handling ice bags/ other food products
    • Able to work in variable temperatures (cold/hot)

The Forklift Operator will be responsible for performing various duties in the warehouse in a fast-paced lean environment, including but not limited to: Receiving and put-away of all inbound receipts. Loading and shipping all outbound pallets. Picking and loading pallets for shuttle to the Ohio Kitchen.
