1st shift Quality Assurance Technician (INTERNAL)

Summary

Quality Assurance Technicians create testing procedures to ensure that standards are being met. Quality Control Technicians perform regular inspection tests on equipment and materials to verify that everything is functioning properly and efficiently and that there are no safety hazards.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to

    • Perform and document cooler audits
    • Perform and document inbound receiving and outbound shipping inspections
    • Perform gel pack audits. Assure that target weights are met, and they have the proper seals
    • Monitor compliance to sanitation and GMP requirements for all team members
    • Monitor and document room temperatures throughout the facility as assigned by management
    • Monitor and document temperatures of meals
    • Responsible for general cleaning tasks as needed and assigned by the Quality & Food Safety Manager
    • Ability to accurately complete all required documentation
    • Has the authority to stop the line from running if the process is causing a food safety concern
    • Maintain general housekeeping and cleanliness of facility
    • Other miscellaneous duties as requested by the Quality Assurance Manager

Required Skills and Experience

    • High school diploma or GED equivalent
    • Must be at least 18 years of age
    • Previous experience in food manufacturing
    • Must be self-motivated and driven to succeed
    • Must be able to read, write and speak English
    • Basic computer skills are required, proficiency in Microsoft Office 

Preferred Skills and Experience

    • Food Safety and/or Quality Assurance experience
    • Bilingual in Spanish

Physical Requirements

    • Regularly required to use hands to feel, grab, or operate objects, tools, and controls while reaching with hands and arms
    • Frequently required to stand, communicate, and listen
    • Occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel or crouch
    • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
    • Visual perception to perform job including peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
    • Able to perform repetitive movements
    • Able to work in variable temperatures (cold/hot)
