1st Shift Forklift Operator (INTERNAL)

Oklahoma City, OK | Kitchen | Warehouse | Full-Time, 1st Shift

Summary

The Forklift Operator will be responsible for performing various duties in the warehouse in a fast-paced lean environment to include: receiving and put-away of all inbound receipts, shipping, and picking of products to support Plant operations. Maintain inventory accuracy. Monitor coolers/freezer temperatures. Responsible for keeping warehouse area organized. Must have stand-up forklift and RF scan gun experience.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to

    • Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight using appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jack, forklift and by hand as needed
    • Must be able to operate stand up forklift
    • Utilize mobile handheld devices for tracking shipments
    • Safely climb in and out of trailers
    • Lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes and weights (up to 50 lbs. frequently)
    • Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies (e.g. pallets, straps, rope)
    • Safely walk and stand for extended periods of time on a loading dock that has potential to be below freezing and may become slippery
    • Safely reach, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel as necessary to perform the job duties
    • Verify and complete required documentation and reports
    • Adhere to company safety policies
    • Frequent contact with co-workers and supervisors; fast-paced and deadline oriented
    • Safely work in cold weather conditions

Required Skills and Experience

    • 2-4 years’ prior forklift experience
    • Stand up forklift experience
    • Must be at least 18 years of age
    • Must be able to speak/read/write in English fluently
    • Good basic math skills

Preferred Skills and Experience

    •  High School Diploma or GED

Physical Requirements

    • Regularly required to use hands to feel, grab, or operate objects, tools, and controls while reaching with hands and arms
    • Frequently required to stand, communicate, and listen
    • Occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel or crouch
    • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
    • Visual perception to perform job including peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
    • Able to perform repetitive movements
    • Able to work in variable temperatures (cold/hot)

The primary functions of the Kitchen Operator II position are: operating mixers and decanting equipment, preparing food ingredients to be cooked and processed, blending of Ready-to-Eat ingredients, assist in cooker loading and operation, moving ingredients and materials using battery operated industrial handling equipment, cover Kitchen Operator III (Kitchen III) and Production Associate I (PAI) breaks or absences. Kitchen Operator II is is a highly flexible position as there could be several unique job tasks completed in the same day. They will need to prioritize and adjust completion timing of tasks to support kitchen and plant operations.   All Moms Meals team members are expected to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate effectively with plant team members, Home Office support personnel, contractors, vendors, etc. to achieve objectives while maintaining the highest level of professionalism. In addition, the Kitchen II operators are responsible for providing documented hands-on training and mentorship to employees new in position.   The Kitchen II Operator position is a fast-paced job that requires initiative, problem solving, and decision making with little direct oversight. Kitchen II team members must be able to prioritize and complete a multitude of tasks to ensure efficient and smooth operation of the production line.   This position may require team members to work in varying temperature environments from 34˚F - 80˚F.   --
